What We Do
After a long, successful career at the Knoxville Utilities Board, Larry Stinnett and his wife (and current CEO) Ginny Stinnett set out to begin a new path in the ever-growing Cross Connection program. On March 1st, 1995, they started Backflow Specialty Co., Inc.
Larry's reputation proceeded him as Backflow Specialty quickly became a staple in the greater East TN Region. From serving local utilities, municipalities, & residential customers, the identity of our company grew into what is now considered the largest Backflow Prevention company in the region.
We are thankful for our humble beginnings, and we are honored to uphold our founders' vision through values of faith and family - carrying out expertise and professionalism in the line of backflow prevention.
